Gamification has become increasingly popular in the education and training world: many teachers and trainers worldwide, across several disciplines, are using game design principles to create engaging, interactive, and immersive learning experiences that can be both fun and effective. On the other hand, many struggle to identify the resources and tools to do it. The Sparks Project consortium has developed an E-Learning Platform to let teachers and trainers gamify their courses autonomously and a collection of Guidance Materials to help them integrate gamification into their online or hybrid courses.
The E-Learning Platform
After testing cycles with over 150 teachers, trainers and other vocational education and training experts, that supported us in developing a product that could be closer to the needs of educators and students, the SPARKS E-Learning platform is officially open for registration from any VET professional. The platform, available in English, Greek, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian and Spanish, seeks to make learning fun and more engaging for students of all fields of vocational education and training. What kind of Guidance Material?
- E-Learning Modules to learn all about the project results, including our transnational research on Gamification and Game-Based Learning, our Conceptual Framework and Templates for Gamified E-Learning Programs, and, of course, Sparks E-Learning Platform, the science behind how it works, and practical tips and techniques for using it. The E-Learning Modules were designed as micro-learning objects, to let teachers and trainers gain foundational knowledge about our project and its core products. Check them out on Youtube!
- Video tutorials to discover how to create your own gamified e-learning programs using our project platform. The tutorials provide step-by-step guidance on how to use our platform, which makes it easy to create gamified e-learning programs even if you have no prior experience with game design or programming. - A User Manual for your students, an essential guide that provides learners with all the information they need to navigate through the platform and engage with the gamified e-learning program.
