Bexley C-Level IT (BCLIT)
BCLIT is a Small and Medium-sized Enterprise founded in 2017 as an entrepreneurial hub specialized in IT solutions for education. Its business model gained recognition and funding from a government program that supports startups. BCLIT provides digital teaching solutions for educational organisations including kindergartens, schools, high schools, VET schools, universities, NGOs, and SMEs delivering education to youth and adults. In the local environment, BCLIT accelerates interactions between academia, government institutions, industry & civil society (quadruple helix) to create learning opportunities for individuals and development opportunities for organizations (NGOs, schools, universities, and entrepreneurs). Its staff praises mobility, voluntarism, diversity, equality, tolerance, involvement, participation, engagement & empowerment, and helping people to gain additional knowledge, attitudes, transversal competencies & skills.
BCLIT's main objectives are:
- to provide learning opportunities & career advice to youth and adults;
- to train trainers in digital and entrepreneurial skills;
- to foster collaboration between people, support organizations, schools, public authorities & private firms.
Target groups of its activities are: school and university students, young people (including NEETs, young people at risk of marginalizations, migrants or with migrant background), youth workers and NGOs volunteers, professors, trainers, youth workers, youth organizations, schools, and universities staff.
The organization developed a regional and transnational network of universities, nonprofit and non-governmental organizations, and SMEs it cooperates within long-term relationships and as a project-based associated partner. Together with its partners, the organization identifies learning needs and designs joint interventions. Its volunteers deliver non-formal education to pupils and carry out activities with teachers and parents and pilot training courses with them.
